Find an available funding programme

Research funding · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

Browse the announced programmes and their open cycles, filtered by status and eligible group.

What you need

  • No sign-in is needed to browse; it is needed to apply.

Steps

  1. Open “Research funding programs” (or “Funding opportunities” in the menu once signed in).

    Available funding programmes →
  2. In “Search programs”, type the programme name, code or cycle.

  3. Choose the programme status: “All programmes”, “Open for applications”, “Opening soon” or “Closed programs”, and pick “Who can apply” if needed.

  4. Compare the cards: “Funding up to”, project duration, closing date (e.g. “Closes in … days”) and the number of required documents.

  5. Choose “View and apply” or “View programme” to open the programme page.

What happens next

You reach the programme page with its conditions, cycles and the button to start an application.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • “No program is open for applications at the moment”: new cycles are announced on this page.
  • “The programs service is unavailable”: try again later.

Notes

  • Every programme is visible to everyone whatever their eligibility; eligibility is checked when you start and when you submit.

Understand programme eligibility and conditions

Research funding · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

The programme page shows eligibility, budget, documents and timeline, and tells you after signing in whether you can apply.

Steps

  1. Open the programme page from “Research funding programs”.

    Available funding programmes →
  2. Read “Eligible applicants” and “About this program”: objectives, target groups, “Eligibility criteria”, “What the program does not fund”, “Submission requirements”.

  3. Check “Budget and duration” (funding ceiling and project duration), “Team roles” and “Required documents”.

  4. Check the cycle “Timeline”, the “Evaluation criteria” and the “Frequently asked questions”.

  5. Sign in to see where you stand in the open cycle: “Start your application” if available to you, or the reason it is not.

What happens next

You know whether you meet the conditions before you start. The remaining rules (participating college, restrictions, research priorities) are checked when you submit.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • “Not eligible for this cycle”: the programme is for faculty and your account is not recorded as faculty in the university directory, or you reached the cycle's participation limit.
  • “Applying is not available to your account”: this is not a sign-in problem; contact the programme administration if you believe it is wrong.
  • “Your account is currently suspended”: you cannot apply.
  • “Your eligibility could not be checked right now”: you can start the application; any obstacle is shown in the form.

Notes

  • Durations after closing in the timeline are indicative and depend on the number of applications and the committee's meetings.
  • The participation limit applies to team members too, not only the principal investigator.

Sign in to the platform

Getting started · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

Reach your workspace with your university account or your external account from the single sign-in page.

What you need

  • A university account, or an external account you created and whose e-mail you verified.

Steps

  1. Select “Sign in” at the top of any public page of the platform.

  2. On the sign-in page choose the “Username and password” method.

  3. University staff: enter your university username or e-mail. External accounts: enter the e-mail you registered with.

  4. Enter your password and select “Sign in”.

  5. If two-step verification is requested, enter the verification code from the authenticator app on your phone.

  6. After signing in you return to the page you asked for, or to your workspace.

What happens next

You see the menu and services your roles allow. If mandatory profile details are missing, you are asked to complete them first.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • “Session expired”: sign in again to return to the page you were on.
  • “Access denied for this account”: the account is valid but has no role for this page; contact the research administrator at your college.
  • If a message says the account is suspended, you cannot use the services; contact the platform administrator.
  • “Institutional sign-in is currently unavailable” means the identity service is not configured yet or is temporarily down; try again later.

Notes

  • To sign out, choose “Sign out” from the profile menu and confirm.
  • The public “Access guide” page explains how to get an account and access, and the available sign-in methods.

Create an external account

Getting started · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

For researchers, authors and reviewers from outside the university: create an account and verify your e-mail.

What you need

  • An e-mail address where you can receive messages.
  • External registration must be enabled on the platform (its link then appears on the sign-in page).

Steps

  1. Open the sign-in page and choose “Create an external account” under “No university account?”.

  2. Enter the requested details, such as first name, last name, e-mail, affiliation and country. The ORCID iD is optional.

  3. Choose a password of at least 12 characters that does not contain your username or e-mail, and confirm it.

  4. Read the terms and privacy notice, tick the acceptance box, then select “Create account”.

  5. Open the verification message sent to your e-mail and follow the link within 24 hours.

  6. Sign in with your e-mail and password, then complete your mandatory profile details if asked.

What happens next

You have a platform account with no permissions; roles are assigned by invitation or by a decision of the responsible office.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • No verification e-mail: check your spam folder, or ask for it again from the “Verify your e-mail address” page.
  • “Registration could not be completed with these details”: the e-mail may already be registered; try signing in or resetting the password.

Notes

  • If you received an invitation (such as a reviewer invitation), create the account with the same e-mail the invitation was sent to.

Reset your password

Getting started · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

Ask for a link to set a new password for your account from the sign-in page.

What you need

  • Access to the e-mail address registered on your account.

Steps

  1. Open the sign-in page and choose “Forgot password?”.

  2. Enter your username or e-mail and select “Submit”.

  3. Open the message you receive and follow the link within 30 minutes.

  4. Enter and confirm the new password, then sign in with it.

What happens next

The old password is replaced and you sign in with the new one.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • The page never confirms whether an account exists, for privacy; if nothing arrives, check the registered address or contact support.

Notes

  • If your password is managed by the university's own system, follow the university's procedure to change it.

Sign in with Nafath and link it to your account

Getting started · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

When the institution activates Nafath, you can sign in with it or link it to your existing account.

What you need

  • Nafath must be activated on the platform.

Steps

  1. On the sign-in page choose the “Saudi Nafath” method, then “Continue with Nafath”.

  2. Prove your identity on the Nafath page, then return to the platform; you never enter the platform password there.

  3. To link Nafath to an existing account: sign in the usual way, open the “Sign in with Nafath” page and choose “Link Nafath to my account”.

What happens next

“Nafath is linked to your account” appears and you can sign in with it later. Data provided by Nafath appears locked in your profile.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • “Signing in with Nafath is currently unavailable”: the service is not activated; sign in with your username and password.
  • “Nafath was not linked to your account”: the link was cancelled, or the Nafath identity is linked to another account.

Notes

  • Available only once the institution completes and activates the official Nafath integration. Until then the platform does not verify national identity or receive any Nafath data.
  • No account is linked by national ID without your confirmation, and a Nafath verification alone never grants university staff status.

Accept an invitation to a platform role

Getting started · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

Open the invitation link from your e-mail, sign in with the invited address and accept the invitation.

What you need

  • A valid invitation e-mail, and an account with the same e-mail address the invitation was sent to.

Steps

  1. Open the link in the invitation e-mail.

  2. If you are not signed in, choose “Sign in”, or “Create an external account” with the invited e-mail and verify it.

  3. Check the invitation: role, scope, invited by, purpose and expiry date.

  4. Select “Accept invitation”.

  5. Choose “Go to the workspace”, or “Complete the application” for a reviewer invitation.

What happens next

The role is assigned to your account. A reviewer invitation instead opens an accreditation application you complete and submit; the reviewer role is assigned only after the accreditation decision.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • The invitation went to a different e-mail than your account's: sign out, then sign in or register with the invited address.
  • “No invitation token was found”: open the link from the invitation e-mail again.
  • An expired or revoked invitation cannot be accepted; ask the inviting office for a new one. You cannot accept an invitation you issued.

Finding help and guides

Getting started · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

Search the user guide, open help for the page you are on, and know whom to contact.

Steps

  1. Open the Help Center and browse the guides by category, or search with a word describing what you want to do.

  2. From any page, open help to see the guides related to that page first.

  3. Use the direct actions in a guide to open the relevant page; they are active only if your role allows you to open it.

  4. For account and access questions see the “Access guide”; for a funding programme's conditions see its “Frequently asked questions” and “Contact and support” sections.

    Sign-in and registration options →

What happens next

You find the practical steps for the task, or the office to contact.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • Some guides appear only after signing in, or only to holders of certain roles.

Notes

  • Your university grants access: if you need a role, contact the research administrator at your college.
  • For scholarly publishing questions there is the public “Publishing questions” page.

Select a journal and read its author instructions

Scientific journals · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

Find the university's journals in the “Journal directory” and read the journal's scope and instructions before submitting.

Steps

  1. Open the “Journal directory” and use “Search journals” or the “Accepting submissions” filter.

    Journal directory →
  2. Check the “Accepting submissions” badge on the journal card.

  3. Open “Journal details” and read “About and scope”, “Author instructions”, “Submission checklist” and “Publication policies”.

Browse and search the digital library

Digital library and Scientific Reader · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

Search the published books by their metadata, and by the full text of the books you may read.

What you need

  • No sign-in is needed to browse; signing in extends the search to the text of the books available to you.

Steps

  1. Open the “Digital library catalogue”.

    Digital library →
  2. Type a title, author or a word from the text in “Search terms”, then select “Search”.

  3. For a precise search open “Advanced search”: “Matching”, “Search in”, work type, language, publication year, author, ISBN, specialty.

  4. Tick “Only books I can read” to hide what is not available to you.

  5. Use “Refine results” to narrow the list, and “Clear filters” to start again.

  6. Choose “View book” to open its page.

What happens next

Results are ranked by relevance with “Text excerpts” and “Occurrences in the text”, and marked “Available to you” or “Not available to you”.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • “Check the search filters”: a filter value is invalid, such as a wrong year; fix it or clear the filters.
  • “No matching books”: change the search words or widen the scope.

Access a published work and understand its availability

Digital library and Scientific Reader · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

The book page shows its details, formats, each format's access level and the Read button if you may read it.

Steps

  1. Open the book page from the “Digital library catalogue” results.

    Digital library →
  2. Check “Book details”, “Authors and contributors”, “Table of contents” and “Rights”.

  3. Under “Formats”, read each format's access level: Open to everyone, Signed-in users, Restricted audience, Licensed readers, Paid.

  4. Choose “Read” on a digital format to open it in the reader, or “Sign in” if reading requires it.

What happens next

The format opens in the Scientific Reader, or the reason it is not available to you is shown.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • “Reading is limited to audiences or units your account is not part of”, “Reading requires a licence for your account”, or “This format is under embargo”.
  • Printed formats cannot be read online; they are available through distribution.
  • If “A corrected edition supersedes this one” appears, choose “View the corrected edition”.

Notes

  • Paid reading is available only once the institution approves a payment service; until then “Paid reading is not available” appears.
  • The page says whether download is available from the reader or reading is online only, and the number of preview pages if any.

Find an open publication cycle

Scholarly publishing · Revision 1 · Last updated 7 November 2026

Every publication request starts from a cycle that is open for submissions; the cycle shows who can apply, the work types and the deadline.

What you need

  • A platform account to apply (anyone may browse).

Steps

  1. Open “Scholarly publishing services” and look at “Cycles open now”.

    Scholarly publishing services →
  2. Open the cycle to see “Cycle details”: “Opens”, “Closes”, “Who can apply”, “Required documents” and “Declarations”.

  3. Once signed in you can also start from “My publication requests” with “New publication request”, which takes you to “Open publication cycles”.

My publishing requests — Requires: Signed-in author
  4. Check “Open to”, “Work types” and the days left on the cycle card, then choose “View and apply” or “Apply”.

What happens next

You reach the “Start a publication request” page of that cycle, with the eligibility check.

If it is returned, rejected or blocked

  • If “No publication cycle is open now” appears, no request can be created; follow the publishing portal for upcoming cycles.
  • A cycle may be limited to university members or to external authors, or be “Suspended” or “Closed”; then “Submissions are not open” is shown.

Notes

  • A publication request cannot be made outside a cycle; the publishing administration sets cycles and their dates.
